Benzoin is a natural tree resin with a rich history that spans across centuries. It is traditionally used to soften and moisturise dry, chapped skin, but is most notably treasured as a sacred incense used in temples and religious sites across Asia and the Middle East.
Benzoin has deeply honeyed, almost caramelised, tones. It blends beautifully with the top notes of Frankincense (known as the ‘King of oils’) and Vetiver to create a warm and grounding base. The fruity and slightly spicy notes of Bergamot and Patchouli delicately balance these sweet tones, to create a harmonious synergy with rich layers. The initial headiness of the blend gives way to mellow aromatics with a touch of subtle spice. It is a deeply meditative aroma ideal for all relaxing and grounding bodywork.
