Ferno® Scoop EXL Stretcher

The Ferno Scoop EXL Stretcher provides superior comfort and safety to casualties in need of spinal immobilisation. It eliminates the need for log-roll manoeuvres, significantly decreasing movement to the casualties' cervical spine and reducing the chance of further injury.

The two-hinged, interlocking pieces adjust for patient height and allow operators to bring the two halves together beneath the casualty to gently “scoop” them up. The radiolucent, thermally-treated polymer construction maintains an even temperature for greater casulaty comfort, and the easy-to-clean surface is impervious to fluids.

The Scoop EXL Stretcher has been found to be superior in performance compared to the traditional rigid long backboard when used for spinal immobilisation. Perfect for use in casualty recovery operations within awkward and confined spaces with a maximum load capacity of 227kg.
